My story - Who am I and what do I do?

Being a teacher for 20 years, I have a wide range of skills and experience, teaching children of different ages, abilities and backgrounds. I am able to provide support from EYFS to Year 6 so please get in touch and I'll be more than happy to have a chat and see how I help.

I also have experience of working with a range of Special Education Needs, including autism, ADHD, Downs Syndrome, anxiety and attachment issues, and children with EAL and school refusers. CV is available on request.

See how I can help: I Ieft the classroom in December 2021 to explore different opportunities and I am loving it! I now support children with their emotional and educational needs; I currently offer a range of services, mainly online. To find out more click the link at the bottom of this page. My greatest success in life is my daughter. She was born with a rare genetic syndrome (Pitt Hopkins Syndrome) and therefore she is non-verbal and cannot walk without support. She has taught me that everyone is unique, and we all have great potential to learn in our own way. Nobody should be left behind. Having struggled with self confidence and belief in myself during times in my life, I thought it was important to support children going through similar experiences. This is how Believe and Bloom was created.

My teaching style is fun and empathetic, allowing children the chance to rediscover a love of learning that is inbuilt in all of us. As a qualified primary school teacher, I know that many children need or want a little extra support with their education and self esteem. My ethos is that learning should be fun and we should never let self doubt or struggles halt our progress.
